The Assessment Process for Trade Occupations

The trade occupation assessment process is comprehensive. You start by choosing your program, whether it be OSAP or TSS, and pathways.

  • Pathway 1 is for non‐Australian qualified/licensed individuals. This requires documentary evidence, a technical interview, and may require a practical assessment. 
  • While Pathway 2 is for applicants with Australian qualifications, who usually only need to undergo a practical interview.

Steps include:

  1. Collect Evidence: Provide papers that show evidence of at least 12 months of full-time work or a specified number of hours of part-time work in your skilled trade during the last 3 years.
