All documents must be submitted in PDF format through Engineers Australia’s online MSA portal. Payslips and bank statements are not accepted as employment evidence. Employment references must confirm regular, salaried employment at market rate. Unpaid leave periods, periods studying or on parental leave can not count towards the skilled employment periods, unless there is specific evidence to support your application. Assessment Fees and Processing Time
An administration fee is applied for every CDR application that is submitted to Engineers Australia. As of July 2025, the usual assessment fee is minimum AUD 910 excluding GST, and a standard CDR assessment will result in an outcome of 8 to 12 weeks. A faster processing fee of $695 can expedite this to 2 to 4 weeks; but some cases may take longer if they are complex. No fee is refunded for the application from Engineers Australia.
