Management Consultant is a VETASSESS Group B occupation. Group B requires a qualification comparable to an AQF Bachelor degree or higher. Both your qualification and your employment history will be assessed and you will only be given an overall positive outcome if both aspects pass.
Pathway 1: Highly Relevant Major
If you have an AQF Bachelor degree or above, it needs to be within a management consulting related field, for example, a Bachelor of Business Administration, Management, Commerce or Economics. In addition, you will need one year or more of highly relevant employment gained within the last five years, working at least 20 hours per week.
Pathway 2: Not Highly Relevant Major
If your AQF Bachelor degree or higher is not in a highly relevant field, you can either have another highly relevant qualification relating to management consulting, or at least six years of highly relevant employment (including one year within the last five years working at least 20 hours per week).
Post Qualification Rule: For mostVETASSESS groups, only employment completed after your degree was awarded counts toward the experience requirement. Employment gained while studying is generally excluded.
